Route: from Far Sawrey taking the road by the Cuckoo Brow Inn slowly up onto the higher ground past Moss Eccles and Wise Een tarns and then descending through woodland to turn left along a track at the first significant crossroads. Then left at the next crossroads onto a smaller path and heading, eventually, west towards Hawkshead before turning due north to Latterbarrow. Descending a permissive path north east to reach the main track to Wray but turning right uphill to reach a crossroads with a left turn to Belle Grange, although turing right off this before the lake to regain height and the edge of the plateau at Low Blind How and along this back to Far Sawrey.
Conditions: a pleasant Autumnal day: mainly cloudy but hints of sun.
