The third day of the Great Tour of Yorkshire cycle trip with Ian Lyne and Steve Mitchell.
Route: From Grinton to Danby along the valley to Richmond for coffee, on minor roads overlapping with the Coast to Coast walk to Danby Wiske for a pre-prandial half, Osmotherley for lunch, followed by a climb and descent to circle round the North York Moors stopping at Great Ayrton for tea and then surprisingly hilly climb on either side of Eskdale (and a dire mile along a track) in the later afternoon to reach the Duke of Wellington in Danby.
Conditions: A sunny start followed by cloud and sun.
